I come from New York and I have been studying art since I was four. My bachelors was in psychology and art. My primary focus is in portraits but I can do pretty much anything visual.
When I am in the process of painting a portrait, midway through people often comment that it looks like a mask. If you think about it, a mask is a simpler version of ourselves and can never be as complex as who we really are. This is why my goal during painting a portrait is to exceed just the face and portray their story with the limited information I have. I want to capture their story and allow the viewer to feel as though they know and identify with the subject.
